*
Checking This Box Means You Agree To The Below Release Form. I request to participate in field target practice & events for the year of 2018 at 1082 Triplett Rd Cleveland N.C. and. I acknowledge that participation in this event is expressly conditioned on my agreement to each of the terms of this document. I acknowledge and agree as follows: 1. Participation in the field target activities involves the shooting of air rifles and/or air pistols (collectively “airgun” or airguns”). There is an inherent risk of injury when choosing to participate in any shooting activity, including the shooting of airguns. My participation in field target and air rifle shooting activities is a voluntary activity in all respects and I assume all risks of injury and illness that may result from such activity. This includes any sponsored group activities, matches, events and/or individual use of an airgun. 2. As the participant in field target and air rifle activities, I recognize and acknowledge that there are risks of physical injury and I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries (including death), damages, or loss which I may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with field target activities. I acknowledge that my participation in field target activities is voluntary. 3. I, on behalf of myself, do hereby fully release and discharge to Jody Morrison, Pam Morrison & Mooresville Airgun Clud, any and all other event organizers and volunteers, hosts, sponsors and property owner(s) whose facilities and land are being used (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, and causes of action from injuries or illness (including death), damages or loss which I may have or which may accrue to me on account of participation in all field target activities. This is a complete and irrevocable release and waiver of liability. Specifically, and without limitation, I, on behalf of myself, hereby release the Released Parties from any liability, claim, or cause of action arising out of the Released Parties’ negligence. I, on behalf of myself, covenant not to sue the Released Parties for any alleged liabilities, claims, or causes of action released hereunder. 4. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend the Released Parties from any and all claims resulting from injuries or illness (including death), damages, or loss, including, but not limited to attorneys’ fees, sustained by me arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with, the field target activities. 5. In the event of any emergency, I authorize the Released Parties to secure from any licensed hospital, physician and/or medical personnel any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care and agree that I will be responsible for payment of any and all medical services rendered. 6. I am knowledgeable about the proper use of any air rifle and/or air pistol I use and the rules of any activities that I will participate in. I have read and agree to follow the Rules on the second page of this document. 7. The Released Parties are not responsible for any loss or theft of personal property brought to or left at the field target activities. 8. I understand and agree to adhere to the event’s rules. 9. I have read and fully understand this Acknowledgement and Release of Liability set forth above, including the permission to secure medical treatment and the release of all claims, including claims for the negligence of the Released Parties. I am 18 years old or older. I understand that my signed waiver will be retained by the Released parties. This document is binding upon me and my heirs, children, wards, personal representatives and anyone else entitled to act on my behalf. I also agree to the following rules: 1. All Airguns shall be kept unloaded until on the firing line, with the muzzle pointed downrange, and ready to fire. 2. Airgun muzzles will, at all times, be pointed away from all persons. 3. When on the firing line, safe airgun procedures will be observed including: a. No Airgun will be cocked or loaded until a shot is ready to be fired downrange. b. When an Airgun is cocked or loaded on the firing line, the SAFETY (if the airgun is equipped with one) will not be released until the muzzle is pointed at the target and the shooter is ready to FIRE. c. When cocking piston airguns, the Shooter must hold the cocking lever or barrel while inserting a pellet to prevent the accidental discharge of the gun and prevent injury to one’s self or other shooters. d. Safe spacing of shooters on the firing line is both judicious and courteous. e. Each shooter is responsible for his or her direction of fire, and safety toward other shooters. f. When the Range Safety Officer or Marshal or other person declares the line "COLD", all Shooters will unload (firing pellets into the ground is an acceptable method as long as care is taken to make sure that the direction and surface of impact are safe), break the breech, open the loading port or bolt, or unlatch the cocking lever. g. The Range Safety Officer should be notified when a shooter wishes to go downrange for any reason. The Range Safety Officer will, at his discretion, call for a "COLD" line. At that time, range maintenance may be performed. On the field target course, the appointed Marshals will act as deputies of the Range Safety Officer (Chief Marshal). h. All shots, from whatever shooting position, must be made with the airgun’s muzzle wholly beyond the firing point (at the front of the shooting pad), and the airgun’s trigger wholly behind the firing point. i. The Range Safety Officer or Marshal will have the final decision on matters of "Safety on the Range". 4.Safety must be encouraged and enforced. Therefore, it is important that all shooters strive to practice safe airgun handling. It is also important, that shooters remind anyone of unsafe airgun handling and, if necessary, report unsafe practices to the Range Safety Officer or Marshal. 5.NO children shall be allowed on the firing line. Junior Shooters MUST be cleared by the Range Safety Officer by being instructed on RANGE SAFETY. 6.NO alcohol will be allowed on the sight-in range or field target course. I have read this ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY – FIELD TARGET and agree to be bound by it:
